Ukrainian embassy gets 100 free room proposals

More than 100 Thais are applying to provide free accommodation to Ukrainians stranded in the kingdom amid the war in the Eastern European nation, the Ukrainian embassy revealed on Friday.

The embassy held a press conference in Bangkok to update the media on the latest developments on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

One concern raised by the press was stranded Ukrainians who are unable to return home due to the conflict.

Oleksandr Lysak, Ukrainian charge d’affaires to Thailand, said Kyiv has launched a website to provide free accommodation for Ukrainians in need abroad.
