The opening event of the SAT-TWT Open Road to World Ranking series will tee off at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club in Pattaya on Wednesday, organisers said.
There will be eight tournaments in the series with a total purse of 20 million baht for the 2022 season, said Chanya Sawangchit, president of the Thai Women’s Professional Golf Association (Thai WPGA).
“Our goal is to turn the Thai Women Tour (TWT) into a Rolex World Ranking tour. While Thailand already has a world ranking tour for the men, we have yet to have such a privilege for the women,” Chanya said.
