True bring in Invincibile to lift them from deep mire

True Bangkok United have appointed Australia’s Daniele Invincibile as their interim coach, the Thai League 1 club said yesterday.

The former footballer, who previously was coach of Bangkok United’s B team, began his new role yesterday as the capital team will travel to Nakhon Ratchasima on Saturday.

His appointment came after Mano Polking announced his resignation at the weekend following a string of poor results.

Bangkok United suffered a 5-4 home loss to Sukhothai on Sunday for their fourth defeat in a row.

They were joint leaders with a perfect record after four games before the campaign was suspended in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But since the campaign resumed last month, Bangkok United have earned only one point from five matches.

After nine games, they are seventh on 15 points, eight behind leaders BG Pathum…
