The White Lotus is headed to Asia! The award-winning HBO series—which was officially renewed for a third season in November 2022—is planning to set its upcoming installment in Thailand, according to a report by Variety.

Series creator, writer, and director Mike White has been scouting locations in the country, sources tell the outlet. While HBO declined to comment, the news lines up with White’s hints about a third season in Asia. “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White said in a video following the season two finale. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”
