Thank you, Reddit

I went solo to Phuket and had the best vacation of my life! And in part I have to thank Reddit for it. You see, I tried to talk to strangers (at the hotel, pool, beach, bars, etc.) but I realized pretty fast that most people I met were up for a quick chat but that’s it. I like to meet other people so I checked this subreddit and quickly spotted some messages from other people that wanted to meet up. So I met up with S. from a country I knew very little about (Oman) and went for drinks. Just like me, he liked to party so we went out and had a blast. The next days we partied hard and met other like-minded people. It was so much fun and all because of Reddit.

I see threads from people here asking to meet up and every time someone comments beneath that they just need to go to Bangla to make ‘friends’ with the ladies there instead. I just wanted to show that meeting up with other people through Reddit can work out👍
