Thailand Monks Sent To Rehab

Being a monk is not an easy task; once any person decides to be a monk, there are many rules and restrictions they have to obey.

You can’t talk unless you really have to, have no contact with the lay world, pray seven times a day, never be free, either do some physical work, study, or pray, and the list goes on. It is also a lifetime commitment; once you enter a monastery, you only leave it when you die.

This long list of rules also excludes recreation and entertainment, which also prohibits taking drugs.

But in a temple in Thailand, all the monks tested positive on a drug test and have been sent to rehab. Here’s what happened.
