Dallas: Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum shot a one-under-par 70 to trail leaders by just one stroke after Saturday’s third round of the LPGA Volunteers of America Classic.
Pornanong, who turned 31 on Friday, picked up three birdies on Nos.6, 16 and 18 while dropped two bogeys on Nos.8 and 10 at The Colony in suburban Dallas.
She was tied for fourth place alongside six other players including South Korea’s world No.1 Ko Jin-Young (70) and American Jessica Korda (72) on three-under 210.
South Korea’s Ryu So-Yeon fired a six-under-par 65 to grab a share of the lead with compatriot Park In-Bee (69) and US teen Yealimi Noh (71).
