Former women’s world No.1 tested positive for banned substance during US Open

Former world number one Simona Halep of Romania has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for the banned substance roxadustat, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) said on Friday.
A shocked Halep said she would “fight until the end” to prove that she did not knowingly take a prohibited substance.
