Teerasil likely to join leaders BG Pathum

Thailand striker Teerasil Dangda is set to join Thai League 1 leaders BG Pathum United, various reports in the local media claimed on Tuesday.

They said the 32-year-old star is likely to return to Thailand after his contract with J-League side Shimizu S-Pulse expires at the end of January.

BG Pathum and Shimizu have agreed a transfer fee of about 24 million baht for the veteran forward, according to the reports.

One of Thailand’s most lethal strikers of this generation, Teerasil moved from Thai League 1 club Muang Thong United to Shimizu earlier this year.

However, Teerasil has since rarely been picked to start for Shimizu, who are 17th in the 18-team J-League after 22 games.
