Supak and Supissara’s fantastic run comes to end in semi-finals

Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran’s remarkable run in Kuala Lumpur came to an end when the Thai mixed doubles pair lost in the semi-finals of the US$360,000 Malaysia Masters badminton tournament on Saturday.

The world No.22 Thais, who were hoping to make it to their first World Tour final, were beaten by Rinov Rivaldy and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari of Indonesia 21-18, 10-21, 21-15 in 44 minutes at Axiata Arena.

They claimed probably the biggest win of their career on Friday by beating third seeds Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino of Japan in the quarter-finals.
