St. Andrews violated building code: Watthana District Office

City officials said that an international school embroiled in a dispute with its neighbors violated building regulations by preparing for further expansion onto public land.

In a letter sent to a neighbor who has long campaigned against the school’s expansion, Watthana District officials said they found evidence of unauthorized structures and modifications.

In the letter, seen by Coconuts, the district office said it found unauthorized modifications including new foundation pillars laid around the vicinity of a public waterway since early August, around the time the school was demolishing one structure the city had ordered removed.

The letter, sent to neighbor Mayta Lerttamrab on Sept. 8, said the school detailed the dimensions of the offending work and authorities concluded that it violated the building code.
