Sakamoto earns point for Cerezo

Cerezo Osaka rallied to seal a 1-1 draw with Thai League 1 side Port in Group J of the AFC Champions League in Buri Ram on Wednesday.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto came off the bench to salvage a point for the J-League 1 club with his 79th minute strike at Buriram stadium as he cancelled out Pakorn Prempak’s first-half goal.

After three games, Cerezo have seven points, four ahead of Port with three games remaining for both teams.

Hong Kong’s Kitchee, on three points, and China’s Guangzhou FC, without a single point, met in their second match last night.

All Group J matches are being staged at Buriram stadium.

The top two teams of each group reach the next round.
