Sacks of meth pills seized on Mekong river bank

NAKHON PHANOM: A patrol from the navy’s Mekong Riverine Unit (MRU) seized 142,000 methamphetamine pills in two sacks from the bank of the Mekong river in Tha Uthen district late on Saturday night. Nobody was arrested.

Capt Kasidi Klinsrisuk, commander of the Nakhon Phanom station of the MRU, said the patrol deployed along the river bank spotted two long-tail boats landing at a spot near Ban Yang Nok Ho in tambon Woen Phra Bat, Tha Uthen district.
