Roll up those sleeves: Foreigners aged 60+ can register for vaccinations

Thai health officials on Monday afternoon said foreigners living in Thailand can now register for COVID-19 vaccines – if they are aged over 60.

In a Monday press briefing, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and COVID-19 task force spokesperson Natapanu Nopakun said the public health ministry has launched a website, www.thailandintervac.com, for vaccine registration for foreign nationals in the country.

Eligible groups, for now, are foreigners aged 60 and over and those who have underlying diseases including cancer, diabetes, obesity, severe chronic respiratory diseases and chronic kidney diseases. More details are available online.

The currently available vaccines include the two-shot CoronaVac, produced by Chinese biopharmaceutical company Sinovac, and the two-shot Oxford-AstraZeneca jab, made locally by Siam Bioscience. Registration for vaccination begins at noon and…
