Thailand will face Southeast Asian rivals Malaysia in their opening game at next week’s King’s Cup tournament in Chiang Mai following Monday’s draw.
The four-team event will take place at Chiang Mai’s 700th Anniversary Stadium from Sept 22-25.
Trinidad and Tobago will meet Tajikistan in the tournament’s opening match at 5.30pm on Sept 22 and will be followed by Thailand v Malaysia game at 8.30pm.
The winners will play in the final and the losers face off in the third-place play-off, both scheduled for Sept 25.
Thailand manager Nualphan Lamsam said Japan-based stars Chanathip Songkrasin and Supachok Sarachart will play in the tournament.
