Rabbits, Bangkok United let opponents off the hook

Defending champions BG Pathum United and Bangkok United both had frustrating outings in Thai League 1 on Saturday night as their bids for the title once again suffered heavy blows.

Pathum failed to beat 10-man Police Tero and settled for a 1-1 draw while Bangkok United squandered a two-goal advantage for a 2-2 tie with Nakhon Ratchasima.

Police defenders did an impeccable job until the 80th minute when they lost Chumpol Buangarm to a red card and soon buckled under pressure to let Chartree Chimtalay put the Rabbits ahead.

Chalermsak Aukkee headed home the equaliser for Police in injury time.
