Pattaya —

Pattaya officials joined hands with the Chonburi Homeless Shelter to identify and assist homeless individuals in the city.

The operation took place on Thursday, May 16th. Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches assigned Mr. Pitaya Phirom-on, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, along with social welfare officers, security personnel, and representatives from the Chonburi Homeless Shelter and other relevant agencies, to conduct an inspection of areas frequented by homeless individuals around Pattaya.

The inspection focused on Pattaya Beach, the underside of the Bali Hai Overpass, and surrounding areas. The team was able to identify 18 homeless individuals after the inspection.

According to the officials, 9 out of 18 homeless people were willing to receive assistance and were subsequently transported to the Chonburi Homeless Shelter. The remaining 9 individuals declined assistance but were provided with guidance and their information was recorded.

The officials said they will get to these people later to take other appropriate actions.
