Two Foreigners, Swedish and Australian, Found Dead Within Hours in Same Pattaya Condo in Separate Incidents

Pattaya, Chonburi – A chilling series of incidents unfolded in central Pattaya when police from Pattaya City Police Station received reports of two foreign nationals found dead in separate rooms of the same condominium, just two hours apart, on July 17th, 2025. The back-to-back discoveries have left authorities puzzled as they scramble to investigate the causes.

The first case was reported at 2:00 PM, when Pol. Lt. Col. Saijai Khamjulla, an investigator at Pattaya City Police Station, was alerted to a deceased foreign man in a room on the fifth floor of a condominium behind South Pattaya’s Tukcom. The exact name of the condo was withheld by police stressing the ongoing investigation.

The deceased was identified as a 38-year-old Swedish national. The Pattaya News withheld his full name pending notification of his family and embassy. His body was found naked near a bathtub, with water overflowing from the tub. A one-inch laceration was observed on his forehead and right eyebrow, with blood mixed in the water, though no signs of a struggle were found in the room. Police are investigating, however, reports and CCTV appearing to show a woman with short hair leaving his room before the discovery.

Just two hours later, at 4:00 PM, Pol. Lt. Col. Saijai received another report of a death in a room on the seventh floor of the same building. Officers discovered the body of a 54-year-old Australian, lying face-down in a pool of blood. His name was also withheld to contact relatives. A broken glass was found near his left elbow, and numerous pill bottles were scattered around the room. No signs of a struggle were noted.

Ms. Thunkchanok Prajit, 27, the building caretaker, stated that she was alerted by a friend of the Australian man who had been unable to contact him for two days. Upon checking the room, she found it locked from the inside with a foul odor emanating. She promptly unlocked the door and notified authorities.

Police have documented both scenes and collected evidence. The bodies have been sent to a local hospital for preservation pending contact from relatives. While initial investigations suggest no direct connection between the deaths, the proximity in time and location has prompted authorities to keep all possibilities open. A thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact causes of these mysterious deaths.
