Sports Authority of Thailand and Muaythai Committee Hosts Muay Thai Instructor Training for Foreigners in Pattaya, Advancing Global Muay Thai Network

Pattaya– Following the highly successful Muay Thai instructor training program for foreigners held in Phuket, the Office of the Muaythai Sports Committee (under the Sports Authority of Thailand – SAT) is continuing its efforts to promote and standardize Muay Thai instruction worldwide.

The two organizations have launched the Muaythai Instructor Course for Foreigners (Introductory Level) in Chonburi Province. The training is taking place from February 9th to 13th, 2026, at the Boutique City Hotel in Pattaya.

The program wants to deliver accurate, academically grounded knowledge of Muay Thai while preserving its unique identity and cultural heritage. By establishing a unified standard, it seeks to ensure that foreign instructors teaching Muay Thai abroad do so with authenticity and professionalism, helping to expand the sport’s global reach in a systematic and sustainable manner.

Participants will receive comprehensive instruction through both theoretical and practical sessions led by officially certified Muay Thai masters and instructors. The curriculum covers essential topics, including:

– Fundamental Muay Thai techniques and skills
– Training methods and proper use of equipment
– Competition rules and regulations
– Ethics and professional conduct for instructors

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will be awarded an official certificate as a Muay Thai instructor, issued by the Muaythai Sports Committee under the Sports Authority of Thailand. This credential is recognized internationally and can be used to support professional teaching careers or to promote Muay Thai abroad with credibility and adherence to established standards.

The program builds on the strong interest shown in the recent Phuket session, where over 100 foreign participants engaged with the SAT-approved curriculum. Officials explained that such programs play a key role in elevating Muay Thai’s status as a global sport while safeguarding its traditional roots.

This course in Pattaya represents another step in Thailand’s ongoing commitment to sharing Muay Thai with the world through high-quality, standardized training for international instructors.
