The Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi Province has once again captured hearts with the latest heartwarming update on its superstar pygmy hippopotamus, Moo Deng (น้องหมูเด้ง), the beloved baby hippo who continues to charm fans worldwide.

In the newest footage shared by the zoo seen below, Moo Deng is seen in full playful mode, bouncing and jiggling energetically while enjoying a refreshing soak in her trusty white tub. Despite her rapid growth, the young pygmy hippo insists on squeezing into her favorite basin, determined to indulge in her personal relaxation ritual.

Narongwit Chotchoy, Director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, revealed that fans are now getting to witness Moo Deng’s cozy downtime moments. “She puts in real effort to fit into her beloved tub, even though her body has grown so much that the tub looks noticeably smaller,” he said. “Yet she still dives in for that ultimate bliss, opening her mouth wide to catch the spraying water, bouncing around playfully within the limited space with impressive agility.”

Zookeepers stay close by, gently spraying mist and water to keep her cool and refreshed throughout the session. These determined attempts to lounge in the tub have become a major highlight, drawing plenty of “awws” and affection from visitors who witness the scene in person.
