Pattaya News – Man’s Incredible Survival After Motorcycle Crash on Pattaya Overpass

Pattaya, Thailand – On August 30th, 2025, at 8:06 AM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit in Pattaya received a report of a motorcycle accident on the Motorway Section 7 overpass. The rider had collided with the overpass barrier, resulting in injuries. Rescue volunteers rushed to the scene.

At the site, authorities found a black Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle which had crashed into the overpass barrier and sustained damage. The rider, identified as Mr. Nasir Thongphuangngoen, 42, suffered injuries to his right arm and showed signs of concussion, appearing dazed and unable to recall the events leading up to the accident. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before urgently transferring him to a nearby hospital.

Local witnesses expressed astonishment at Mr. Nasir’s survival, describing it as a miracle. The rider had fallen from the overpass, which stands over 3 meters high, yet sustained only minor injuries. Bystanders speculated about whether Mr. Nasir was wearing a protective amulet from a temple, but his disoriented state prevented him from responding to their inquiries.

Highway Police from the Mabprachan Investigation Unit arrived to inspect the scene and review CCTV footage to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are investigating whether Mr. Nasir lost control of his motorcycle independently or if another vehicle was involved in a collision.
