PATTAYA, Thailand – At approximately 3:30 AM on October 12th, 2025, Pattaya City Police, assisted by concerned citizens, responded to an incident involving a heavily intoxicated man, aged approximately 30–35, who was found asleep at the wheel of a black MG pickup truck. The vehicle was stationary in the middle of a red-light intersection in North Pattaya.

The situation came to light when drivers behind the truck noticed it remained motionless despite the traffic light turning green. Alarmed, they notified the authorities, initially concerned the driver had a health emergency.

After more than 20 minutes of knocking on the vehicle’s window and calling out, police and bystanders managed to wake the driver, who wasn’t having a health emergency but appeared disoriented and reeked of alcohol. Beer bottles were found inside the vehicle. Concerned for public safety and the risk of an accident, officers removed the man from the vehicle, who seemed noticably intoxicated and barely able to stand. He was detained for further legal action.

The man was not immediately identified as due to his condition he had difficulty answering basic questions.
