Pathum United 13 points ahead as Port falter again

BG Pathum United further tightened their grip on the Thai League 1 trophy with a crucial 1-0 away victory over former champions Buriram United on Saturday night.

Diogo Luis Santo broke the hearts of the fans of the club where he rose to stardom on the Thai football scene with a match-winning strike for the Rabbits in the ninth minute of the clash.

It was the first time that the prolific Brazilian had returned to the Thunder Castle’s home ground since leaving the club in 2018 and he was impressive again.

Diogo deftly brought down a long lob from another former Buriram star, Andres Tunez, to fire home from close range.
