One person died while another person has sustained multiple serious injuries after a sedan collided with two motorbikes in the Pattaya area.
The Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident on Saturday night (March 11th) at 11:50 P.M. in Soi Wat Boon Kanjanaram in Nongprue.
Emergency responders and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a damaged sedan and two damaged motorbikes on the road. The sedan driver Mr. Nawaphon Kongkajorn, 27, was at the scene uninjured waiting for police. Nearby rescue workers found the body of Mr. Makawan Puminthong, 19.
Another motorbike rider, Mr. Manop Nooieam, 44, sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital.
Nawaphon told Pattaya police that a motorbike in the opposite lane immediately crashed into her sedan. The driver flew into the air before landing on her sedan which then caused her to crash into another motorbike.
It was not immediately clear which motorbike driver, Manop or Makawan, had been the initial motorbike that crashed into Nawaphon.
Pattaya City Police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident and timeline of events.
