Omg!!! Dog attacked me

Was on Khao San Road and someone had a dog who looked really happy, tail wagging, off lead. I walked past and I went “awwww look” to my friend. The man with the dog went stroke him stroke him. I leant forward and went “hello you” in baby voice and held my hand out to say hello (didn’t touch the dog) and the little pr*** attacked me and bit my dress trying to get at me!

Why would the man tell me to say hello to the dog knowing it was aggressive?

I am a massive animal lover, don’t get me wrong. Animals are my life , but not going to lie this shook me up! I won’t be approaching any more dogs in Thailand, I’ve learnt my lesson! I’ll continue to feed strays no matter what.
