“The monster can possess anybody. How do we know you’re not behind all this?” Well Go USA has revealed an official US trailer for a Thai horror film called Creepy Crawly, which is the cheesy US release title for this freaky creature feature. Not the most unique name. It’s originally known as The One Hundred, which may seem like a strange title, however it’s a reference to the main monster in it – a 100-legged gigantic bug creature. While quarantining at a Thailand hotel, guests begin disappearing with no explanation from staff, leaving the group to wonder whether there may be some truth to local urban legends about a terrifying bug creature rumored to possess its victims. It’s funny to see them mix the pandemic hotels with a horror film concept. The film stars Pirat Nitipaisalkul, Chanya McClory, Benjamin Joseph Varney, and David Asavanon. It will finally be released on VOD / BR this fall, after first opening in Thailand last fall. This looks super gross, not only with the millipedes showing up everywhere, but with all the blood and gore, too.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ posters) for Krileadmongkon & Wongjinda’s Creepy Crawly, on YouTube:

“Who possesses who?” The One Hundred tells the story of a young woman who has just returned from a foreign country. She has to stay at a hotel to quarantine, but then suddenly comes across a monster that can change its shape in a variety of ways – according to the individual that this monster possesses. The concept of the story was inspired by the story of “Battambang” which was told during the reign of King Rama V. Creepy Crawly, originally known as The One Hundred (or The 100), is co-directed and co-written by Thai filmmakers Chalit Krileadmongkon (a VFX supervisor / director of the film The Beast Below) & Pakphum Wongjinda (producer / director of the films Formalin Man, Aka Like Love, Possessed, The Mirror, Serd), working together for their first time. With VFX work by Matchmove. This initially opened in Thailand in October 2022 late last year. Well Go USA will debut Thailand’s Creepy Crawly movie direct-to-VOD / DVD / Blu-ray starting October 3rd, 2023 this fall. Anyone want to watch? Who else hates bugs?
