Myanmar govt launches insurance for workers employed in Thailand

Thailand has imposed tougher travel restrictions on their visas due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the requisite of a health insurance plan of US$100,000 with at least six months validity.

The Myanmar government also plans to resume flights to their Southeast Asian neighbour, as such MIE has launched their Travel and Health Insurance (Thailand) service to facilitate the visa application process for those travelling to Thailand for scholarship programmes, business and work.

The company also plans to provide services where they can underwrite migrant workers in groups.
