Man charged for threatening and kidnapping ex-girlfriend

Pattaya Police charged a man with five offences after he threatened his ex-girlfriend with a knife and kidnapped her from Pathum Thani province near Bangkok. He then took her to a restaurant in Pattaya to win her back.

A 29 year old man named Aut filed a complaint at Mueang Pathum Thani Police Station yesterday after his girlfriend, 24 year old Kanittha, was kidnapped by a 23 year old man named Kantinan. The suspect was Kanittha’s ex-boyfriend, whom she broke up with a year ago.

Aut informed the police that he and Kanittha rode a motorcycle to work in the morning when Kantinan approached them. Kantinan threatened him and Kanittha with a knife, took Kanittha on his motorcycle, and escaped. He chased after them but was unable to catch up.
