Malaysians plan weed complex on Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Road

Malaysian investors want to build a one-stop cannabis entertainment center in Bangkok they hope to open next year.

“Cannaverse” would be a private, members-only club that will serve patrons over 20 with a hotel, swimming pool, weed dispensary, spa, restaurant, and karaoke room on Soi Sukhumvit 33.

At a Wednesday media preview, Cannaverse director Aric Ng said that guests will be able to smoke their weed in a “puff house.” Food and beverages also will be sold, including both cannabis-infused and weed-free beer.

“After dinner, if they don’t feel like going home, they can spend one night in one of our five hotel rooms,” Ng said.

Ng said they hope to complete the complex around February, but a four-month timeline sounded rabidly optimistic for all of its stated ambitions.
