It’s just not going to stop raining, Bangkok

Dark clouds will likely remain over Bangkok for weeks to come, with heavy rain forecast every day across most of the metropolitan area through at least mid-September.

Tomorrow and for many days to come, meteorologists predict daily thunderstorms with highs of around 33C ticking down to about 30C starting Wednesday. Lows will likewise hover between 25C and 26C.

While some traffic congestion has already been reported in the capital, seasonal flooding has mucked up a number of provinces in the east and south. Strong wind advisories and storm warnings were issued across the northeast, east, and south. 

In the east, traders were swamped by flooding at the Rong Kluea Market in Sa Kaeo province, which has been pelted by constant rainfall since last night.
