How are you guys booking shorter-term rentals? I want to move around and spend a week or two in different regions of the country over 90 days.

AirBNB has listings but not as many as I’d have imagined (my dates aren’t even in the high season) and while the pricing is very cheap by western standards, $50/night adds up quick. It’s doable, sure, but why spend more if I don’t have to?

Are there other sites I should be considering? Should I be looking at hotels instead? Should I just land in Bangkok and figure it out once figuring it out means the difference between having a place to sleep or not? (lol)

Alternatively, I’m thinking I may try to find a month long rental in the north (Chang Mai, Chang Rai region) and maybe later a month long rental in central/southern region (Rayong, Bangkok outskirts, Surat Thani, etc). This may give me a better rate and give me a more solid ‘jumping off point’ to explore.
