I have several balconies at my house and most of them are in hot direct sunlight for most of the day.

Is there a plant that I would only have to water once a day that would bear something useful, look nice, and not die easily?

I’ve seen previous posts about this, and it seems that chili plants are the way to go but just curious if anyone has any further recommendations.

Also, the railing of my balconies are thick concrete. Any recommended variable-size-hook boxes that I can place on these, as the hoop/hook boxes are too small.
