GWM announces range of new models

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has announced plans for a range of new models.

At the recent Guangzhou motor show, Zhang Haobao, CEO of GWM Pickup, said the company would focus on new products for the global market, creating a matrix of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen energy pickup trucks.

According to the company’s 2025 Strategy, GWM aims to raise its sales proportion of new energy vehicles to 80% by 2025 and it will invest a total of 500 billion baht (US$16 billion) in R&D.

At the show, GWM unveiled the WEY Lanchan-PHEV, a flagship six-seater intelligent SUV, along with the Haval H-Dog PHEV and Tank 500 PHEV, which features an upgraded off-road hybrid architecture.

The POWER-Shanhai, a large-scale high-performance luxury pickup truck, was also officially launched with both HEV and PHEV variants.
