From finding it boring to miserable weather, London expats reveal why they left to go abroad

“London is the greatest city in the world,” says Olivia sarcastically. “That’s only what someone who has never left London would say.”

Olivia is 24-years-old and has been living abroad since she was 10.

She regularly returns to London, her birthplace, to visit friends and family, but most of her memories growing up are set in the many countries she’s lived in since.

“My mum is an English teacher and my dad is somewhat of a mercenary master chef. He has worked in different five-star kitchens around the world,” she explains. “Since leaving, I’ve lived in Spain, Cyprus, Tunisia, the UAE and Oman.
