Financing a bigger bike as a foreigner in Thailand – Questions

Hello all,

Looking for a bit of advice from someone who has successfully financed a bigger bike here in Thailand. Looking to purchase a nicer bike, and would like to maybe put say 50% down on a 400,000 baht purchase.

How tough is it to get financing here?

A few details –

Have a Thai bank account.

I have non immigrant Education visa status.

I receive monthly retirement income from US gov.

Receive monthly income passed down from family.

I have certificate of Residency.

Is this is enough to solidify financing, or is there anything else that needs to be done? Or, will I just generally be turned down as a foreigner when going into the shop?

Unable to get any type of additional financing back in the US from my bank at the moment and don’t want to put more down than 50%.

Any insight would really be greatly appreciated!

I have only rented mid size bikes for the past 4 or 5 years up until this point.

Thank you!
