Dine on the river in a late prince’s historic retreat this weekend only

The main residence of a historic villa belonging to the late Prince Chula Chakrabongse will be open this weekend for visitors to dine and marvel at its intricate Italian design.

The special engagement commemorates the prince’s March 28 birthday in 1908 to his father Prince Chkrabongse Bhuvananth and Ukrainian mother Catherine Desnitski, later known as Mom Rajawongse Narisa Chakrabongse.

The antiques on display include a portrait of Prince Chula, a sculpture of his father’s favorite horse, and the desk where he wrote his autobiography complete with pictures of his car racing team.

Guided tours of the villa in Thai and English will run six times per day for groups up to 30. Additionally, attendees will dine on the villa’s terrace. Lunch and dinner options include guay tiew, khao soi, and tom yum goong.
