COVID rules unchanged despite Monday’s tease

Another mounting surge in covid-19 has caused health officials to backtrack on a vow to further relax measures.

Four days after signaling restrictions would be lifted as the virus becomes endemic, the COVID task force today said it was reviewing its guidelines in the face of vanishing hospital beds.

“The new infection cases, globally, are now on a downward trend,” said spokesperson Natapanu Nopakun. “On the contrary, numbers in Asia seem to be on the rise again.”

Last call for alcohol must happen by  11pm, and the public is encouraged to dine at restaurants with SHA+ or Thai Stop Covid 2-Plus certificates (whatever that means).

People who have come into high risk contact are advised to quarantine at home for seven days followed by three days of self-monitoring.
