Thai rider Somkiat Chantra said on Wednesday he will be ready to challenge for the Moto2 championship next year.
Somkiat and Japanese Ai Ogura will remain with Idemitsu Honda Team Asia next season, the team announced yesterday.
“I am proud to be racing for the team for the fifth consecutive season this year,” the 23-year-old Thai told a press conference in Bangkok.
“I feel that I have made progress with victory in Indonesia. I am confident that I will be ready for the battle for the [Moto2] world championship in 2023.”
Apart from the victory in Indonesia, Somkiat has also claimed three other podium finishes this season.
