Chopard’s dead on time

Gearing up to the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, Chopard has released the L.U.C Skull One with a dark grinning face.

Día de los Muertos is a joyful celebration of the cycle of life and a reminder of the possibility of death, which in turn gives meaning to existence. The Mexican tradition is a remembrance of deceased children and adults on Nov 1 and 2, while providing an opportunity to strengthen family ties.

The L.U.C Skull One timepiece features a lacquered black dial with a stylised Mexican calavera adorned with sun, flower and heart-shaped motifs, not to mention a moustache above a wide smile with a missing tooth.

Gilt Arabic numerals, hour-markers, Dauphine-type hours and minutes hands stand out against the overall black hue.
