Cartoons and summer

While interpreting the theme of “Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day?” exhibition, eight illustrators and cartoonists expressed their relationships with the hot season through cartoon characters.

While Chanida “Chubbynida” Areewattanasombut created an animation and paintings inspired by her memories of a past relationship, Munin “Munins” Saiprasart displays five pieces, which embody different types of relationships. Pazut Wutigornsombatkul, aka Tuagomstudio, presents relationships between a person and his pets through famous cartoon characters, Tuagom and Tuagom’s pets.

Life spoke with three illustrators and cartoonists about their individual interpretations in “Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day?” on view at River City Bangkok, and their lives as illustrators and cartoonists.
