Camping in Doi Suthep and Doi Inthanon

Hello!

I’d be visiting your city from 13-24 July and I’m pretty hyped! My mum says I went there when I was 9 or 10 and I cannot even remember — I only remember that my first ever flight was to Thailand.

Anyways, I was looking at Korean vloggers who were camping at some Thai campgrounds and Chiang Mai was one of such provinces. I’m not planning on something too crazy, just planning to rent a tent and amenities from the campground and stay for a night. Maybe two.

However, I was made aware that Doi Suthep would be closed for camping during my dates due to rainy season. Would it be the same for Doi Inthanon? Any alternatives? I have been Googling around the past couple of days, and did a quick search on this subreddit to not much results. The park website nps.dnp.go.th is also either down or geo-locked for users not within Thailand…

Any help and suggestions would be thoroughly appreciated!
