Treble winners Buriram United have axed forward Jonathan Bolingi after he helped the Thunder Castle beat Bangkok United 2-0 in the FA Cup final on Sunday.
The Congolese forward scored both goals but his heroics were marred by his dismissal for grabbing an opponent’s neck during a brief altercation towards the end of the match.
“Jonathan Bolingi is a good player but he will not be continuing his career with the team next season because of his behaviour,” said Buriram chairman Newin Chidchob.
He said this was not the first time that the player did something like this in friendly and competitive matches.
