BoI allots perks worth B117m

The Board of Investment (BoI) has approved tax privileges for new investment projects in agriculture, medicine and toy businesses, worth over 117 million baht.

The first project, known as Plant Factory, involves the production of “new-generation plants”, while others are investments in thalassemia test kits and machinery to make modelling clay.

BoI secretary-general Duangjai Asawachintachit said the tax incentive programmes are part the plan to promote and support innovation and high-tech investments to improve industries and help local farmers.

The Plant Factory project, worth 94 million baht, is operated by V T Nam-Nuang 2017 in the northeastern province of Udon Thani.

The factory, designed to produce high-quality plants under a controlled environment, has a capacity of 360 tonnes a year.
