BMW Group Thailand expects an increasing trend in premium car purchases in the Thai market this year after the impact of the pandemic caused sales to dip slightly last year.
Amid a slowdown across business sectors during the pandemic, prospective buyers in the upper class market still have strong purchasing power to buy luxury cars.
“More importantly, premium cars are considered valuable and very safe,” BMW Group Thailand president Alexander Baraka said on Monday as he unveiled the company’s business performance for 2020.
Last year, the company achieved a premium car segment share of 51.2%, with sales reaching 12,426 units including BMW and Mini vehicles.
