Be the zeitgeist in Bangkok exhibition fusing events, fashion, pop culture

Bangkok can step inside the 21st century’s events and pop culture moments, from the 9/11 attacks and stormtroopers to Trump-era sexual politics.

A massive project years in the making by Spanish fashion photographer Eugenio Recuenco, 365 Degrees is coming to a riverside gallery with 365 back-lit photographs featuring 120 models. 

In addition to displaying Recuenco’s works, the made-for-social media exhibition invites visitors to step inside sets recreating them to pose for their own photos.

Developed over eight years, the traveling show involves a production team of 300 and in two years has visited Barcelona, Madrid, London, Valencia, Shanghai and Taipei.

Using video and high-tech light boxes to backlight his shots, Recuenco offers a review of contemporary history through his own humorous and occasionally warped lens. For example, he reconstructs the 9/11…
