Baskin Robbins puts operations in Thailand on ice

Baskin Robbins will no longer serve ice cream in the kingdom.

One of the world’s largest ice cream franchises called it quits this week, permanently closing its four remaining domestic branches.   

The struggling chain has experienced substantial losses for three consecutive years, shedding branches from 34 to just four last year. The final four locations at K Village, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital, The Walk Kaset Nawamintra, and Siam Paragon, are now closed. 

Mud & Hound, the chain’s stakeholder in Thailand, reportedly confirmed the closure is permanent. Mud & Hound also owns Dunkin’, Greyhound, and Au Bon Pain.
