Bangkok to Koh Samui Flight Issues

We are a group of 5 friends who will vacationing in thailand during new years. We are supposed to travel to Koh Samui on 30th December. We checked bangkok airways website but we are running into some issues.

the cheapest flight is for 2160THB which is what we wanted to go for. The portal allows us to enter passenger details but when we go to seat selection, all the seats are taken and none are available. It is still letting us go to payment page.

We googled as well and found that we can book tickets via agoda and [booking.com](https://booking.com) as well but on these websites, it straight away takes us to payment page after entering passenger details.

So we are not sure whether we should go ahead with the payment or not. We are not 100% sure whether the seats are available or not.

The confusion we are facing is that if the seats are not available then why are bangkok airways, agoda, [booking.com](https://booking.com) , allowing users to book the tickets?

Any suggestions on what we should do?
