Asian equities gain after Wall Street revival

Recap: Asian equities rose yesterday following a strong performance on Wall Street ahead of the release of jobs data, while crude gave up some of the previous day’s gains after an output increase disappointed traders.

The SET index moved in a range of 1,645.89 and 1,664.9 points and finished the holiday-shortened week on Thursday at 1,647.67, up 0.54% from the previous week, in daily turnover averaging 73.3 billion baht for four operating days.

Foreign investors were net buyers of 6.08 billion baht, institutional investors bought 387.23 million and brokers purchased 273.26 million baht worth of shares. Retail investors were net sellers of 6.74 billion baht in shares.
