Ao Nang

Currently staying in Ao Nang and my god it is awful. The beach is at high tide during the decent parts of the day meaning you can’t swim too much. Every single shop along the strip sells the exact same items plus there is very little choice in street food. More just Indian restaurants.

I have been in Rai Le and loved it but spent 3 days there and moved on to Ao Nang, I’m finding myself stuck with nothing to do. My flight is from Krabi airport in just over a weeks time so I planned on staying here until then but don’t think I can do it. I don’t want to move too far away (Koh Lanta etc) as this is close to the airport but I’m wondering if anyone has a suggestion for nicer places nearby?

If not then I will fill my time with tourist activities but I prefer to do things on my own in a nice surrounding as opposed to lots of tourists on a paid trip.

Sorry if this post seems like I’m just complaining, (i guess I am) but I have loved most of Thailand and just feel so let down by where I am finishing my trip off:/
