Ailing Bieber cancels tour, but Asia optimistic he’ll return

Justin Bieber’s Asian tour dates will still happen, organizers said this morning, despite the singer announcing he was taking a break due to health problems.

AEG Presents Asia, who is managing the Beeb’s concerts in cities including Bangkok, said those shows would go on, though it could be a case of wishful thinking.

“Beliebers in Asia, we are aware that Justin Bieber has decided to take a break from touring and wish Justin a speedy recovery and admire his decision to put his health first. We can’t wait to see him back on the road.  Our understanding is the Asia leg of the tour is set to continue as scheduled. Stay tuned for more updates.”

Bieber is scheduled to play India, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan. His Bangkok show was scheduled to take place Nov. 6 at Rajamangala National Stadium.
